I don’t get to the back of my property much, I’m ashamed to admit.  And it is a shame because its a very nice and peaceful walk, and the dogs love it too.

Anyway, it was raining all day, the day after Thanksgiving, and “big dog” and ‘middle dog” were pouting and wanted to go for a romp through the woods.  How could I say no?   “Little dog” stayed home, because she hates the rain and cold weather.

While walking, I came across some interesting fungus on a dead tree that might be edible.  I’m hoping its young “hen/chick of the woods” that is starting to produce.

But I have no clue, and i’ll have to find out for sure, before I go off to make a batch of mushroom soup or something.  No sense in taking those kind of chances, right? ~A
