Shadow my A$$…

The dumb groundhog saw it’s shadow.  Really.  According to the data from the Stormfax Almanac, “Phil’s” predictions have been correct only 39 percent of the time.  That’s about one percent higher than my local weatherman’s…

This tells me there’s a damn good chance there may not be six more weeks of winter.  Or maybe there will be.  I really don’t care.  I will carry on with my life and shove a couple handfuls of quail eggs in the incubator and pretend spring is almost here.  I might even plant a seed and stick in the window to sprout. Just because. I’m rebellious like that you know.

We’re getting closer to March, and that means the time changes and everything gets better anyway. Cold weather or not.  It’s the light.  We. Need. the Light.

Or at least I do.  I’m so lacking in the vitamin D department that a few weeks ago I started choking down 4000 IU’s a day.  The recommended amount is 400-800 IU’s. See, I told you I was rebellious… And I have noticed an improvement in my mood I can honestly admit.  But maybe that’s only because I looked back at this photo from last year, taken on February 13th, 2016.  It was so bloody cold outside, and I was suffering from major cabin fever.  I had to do something to lighten my mood, and on that day it involved grabbing my driver and whacking frozen horse turds across the pasture… ~A

A bucket full of frozen turds…
